I'm playing Stars' Empire for a couple of months now and it just captured my imagination! It has a lot of complicated features, but that makes the game more interesting. And the devs keep adding new ones. I also love the pace of the game. It's really slow in the beginning, but this gives you time to figure out what to do next and meet other players. Come join us! Stars' Empire is one of the best space strategies I know.
